We are finally in Italy! And can you hear my excitement?

So where should I begin. I knew when I was coming to Europe to do this series, Moose was on my short list of ‘must film’ players. She is such a gem. Not only an awesome stud muffin of a player, but also one of my good friends. So I basically just wanted an excuse to come and hang out! Which we did. And we ate so much delicious food, drank amazing wine, and just lived the Italian lifestyle.

The podcast episode almost didn’t happen though because the day after our day out and about in Chieri, and a tour of her gorgeous, minimal apartment, there was a positive test on the staff of her team. Just a bit of a scare, she tested negative and things went ahead (with the podcast and also a night out for us to devour immense amounts of pizza together).

This whole situation is so bizarre, and its interesting to see how much more intensely Italian teams are taking it. Rightly so, they were the first league to stop and quarantine last season, so they are extra cautious.

This is the new reality, and we will just have to take it day by day. I’m just glad i got to hug Moose and enjoy a delicious vino together like the good old days.
