Episode 10 - Olga Strantzali

Ok I feel like I start saying this a lot, but this episode almost didn’t happen! Seriously! I had planned to visit Olga a few weeks before, but the girls were all ‘locked down’, we all know what that means in 2020. So I moved on to Chieri, Novara, and next stop was supposed to be Busto. Nope, a couple cases broke out there too. What about Mondovi? Ok sounds good, booked the airbnb, and then….again, pandemic central…cancel everything.

Luckily, by some miracle, Olga told me that they were about to come out of a 21-day quarantine! And they are just a 40 minute drive from where I was staying! All’s well that ends well.

I had to do a bit of convincing to explain to the club why I wanted to be around all the girls who had JUST been cleared negative, and also they were hyper sensitive to me keeping my distance, totally understandably! And we skipped the apartment tour this time, thought it best not to hang out in a red zone...

But nevertheless, this was a great episode because Olga treated me to a ‘typical’ Italian brunch in her cute town of Cuneo, I documented their first day back in weights and training (there was a bit of huffing and puffing as you can imagine), and ultimately I had a fun chat with a fellow Hurricane!

Apologies for the bright walls in this airbnb. Again. Really need to start looking out for that.

K bye.
