Episode 16 - Britt Bongaerts

Well this was unexpected!

If you’ve been keeping up with the Kardashians, I mean the Volley Bubble, you will have seen that a few weeks ago I was in Poland with the men’s British team, London Polonia, as they competed in CEV cup. I was their Chief Vlogging Officer, and it was amazing. Such a fun experience.

But it was all very last minute, and so as soon as I knew I had an extra day in Poland I immediately messaged Britt to see if we could squeeze in an interview and apartment tour! By some miracle we made it all happen in one day! It was a lot but so worth it to have a player like Britt and a team like Lodz on the Volley Bubble!

So first of all, airbnb’s are crazy cheap in Poland, like most things, so I splurged on a nice one. And by some crazy coincidence it happened to be about a 3 minute drive from Britt’s apartment! Literally on the same street! And when I got there I realized I’m a complete idiot, and I’ve been there before! I met Femke Stoltenborg for a coffee in her apartment, in the same building where Britt lives now! Deja Vu for reals.

Britt welcomed me like family, made me a delicious cappuccino, offered me some cozy socks, lit some candles and made me feel right at home. Warm and toasty despite the minus degrees and snow outside. Which I later went out to film in and had to buy another pair of socks to survive it! Miami girl at heart, I don’t know how to dress for snow.

I guess I need to learn quick.
